Technological advancements are rapidly changing the way that business is conducted across all industries.

Rolmaster Conveyors have recognized that, in order to ensure their 67 year old brand continues to remain relevant and “top of mind” within the Canadian Conveyor Manufacturing Industry, they must modify the way in which they communicate and interact with their existing and future supply chain partners. To achieve this, they are investing in the development of a new internally operated Marketing Department.

Rolmaster Conveyors have contracted Shauna Proctor, a talented marketer who specializes in business development, to develop and manage the new department, as well as the existing Sales Team.

Shauna states that “professional sales, being a functional area of marketing, should be managed by the same department. This is to ensure that, as ambassadors for our brand, the sales staff are given the education and tools required to properly represent our core values and service our customers better than any of our direct or indirect competitors, as governed by the business, marketing and sales plans.”

Shauna is extremely excited to be working with Rolmaster. She states that Rolmaster is very well positioned to meet their new corporate vision of being the most recognized and utilized conveyor, related equipment and service supplier in Canada.

Rolmaster Conveyors is very proud to be one of only a small handful of Canadian conveyor manufacturers, supplying over 650 active Canadian distributors, fabricators and end users; 95% of which are repeat customers. Another way in which Rolmaster differentiates themselves from other conveyor manufacturers and distributors is their ability to offer highly customized and non-standard material handling solutions.

For the last 47 years Rolmaster’s primary new business generators included website leads, referrals and personal sales initiatives. This has resulted in a slow and steady increase in sales and the number of customers that Rolmaster services.

The development of a new website that will offer many new resources and tools for customers, the implementation of new work flow management systems/processes, new in house training programs, implementation of an intensive social media program, increased participation at industry events and tradeshows, and increasing brand exposure within Canadian media.

New policies and procedures will more accurately guide the talented staff to ensure that Rolmaster is offering products and service that will allow them to truly stand out from the crowd.
